The story of the Old Gods begins with a ritual to resurrect long-dead gods, but it soon branches down several paths. Since this can be difficult to follow, this thread can serve as a guide.

1. Prologue
   1. Calvin, Vera, and Lexi flee from the site of the ritual, 50 miles outside of Nashville.
      1. Brennan gets run over by Calvin and the gang.
      2. Vera panics about Brennan laying dying in the road.
      3. Calvin dies and reincarnates in his next body far away, and contacts the tech gods. (Same as 1.4.1 below.)
      4. Fritz encounters Vera, Lexi, and Brennan. (Same as 1.3.1 below.)
      5. Brennan suffers in the headlights.
      6. Vera, Fritz, and Hermes (Brennan) chat. Hermes recovers when Vera turns off the headlights.
      7. Fritz spurs the gang into getting off the side of the highway.
      8. Vera, Brennan, and Lexi in the back lead Fritz to a secluded cabin.
      9. Fritz and the rest arrive at the cabin.
      10. Fritz carries Lexi into the cabin; searches the area for traps; starts a conversation about what happened.
      11. Hermes (Brennan) intercepts the message from the Regent (see 1.5.4 below) to Fritz and doesn't pass it along (this is why you can't trust animal messengers).
      12. Vera asks Hermes and Fritz for proof. Hermes tries to flip a coin on the same side several times and fails spectacularly. Tally shows up and warns Fritz, Vera, and Hermes that her dog is hunting them.
      13. Creed (Tally's dog) shows up, briefly questions Vera and Lexi, and then gets blown up by Fritz. (Same as 1.6.3 below.)
      14. Fritz revels in the joy of explosions and escaping from Creed.
   2. Morpheus in Artemis' dream domain.
      1. Lexi (Artemis) chats with Morpheus.
      2. Morpheus chats with Artemis.
      3. Artemis chats with Morpheus.
      4. Morpheus chats with Lexi (Artemis).
      5. Morpheus meets Creed in his dreams. (Same as 1.6.4 below.)
   3. Fritz senses the ritual from a Waffle House just inside of Kentucky.
      1. Fritz encounters Vera, Lexi, and Brennan. (Same as 1.1.4 above.)
   4. Calvin reincarnates. (Same as 1.1.3 above)
      1. Calvin reaches the national guard roadblock.
      2. Story continues in 2.1 below.
   5. Jax is entertaining investors when he gets Calvin's call.
      1. Jax takes off in a fast jet towards Nashville and asks Tally to recruit someone to hunt Vera, Lexi, Brennan, and Fritz.
      2. Jax and Tally arrive in Nashville.
      3. Jax and Tally kidnap the Regent of Nashville with the help of an unseen general (Ishtar).
      4. Jax's goons assault Frtiz's safehouse; Jax kills the cult leader; the Regent sends word to Fritz.
      5. Jax and Tally arrive at the hotel; Jax is contacted by the board.
      6. Jax drives his car out to the national guard roadblock to meet Calvin.
   6. Creed gets recruited to hunt Vera, Lexi, Brennan, and Fritz.
      1. Creed arrives at the scene where Brennan was run over, and gets intel from Talbot (Tally).
      2. Creed arrives at Fritz's safehouse, which turns out to be a cult where he saves one of the cultists.
      3. Creed arrives at the cabin, briefly questions Vera and Lexi, and then gets blown up by Fritz. (Same as 1.1.13 above.)
      4. Creed meets Morpheus in his dreams. (Same as 1.2.5 above.)
      5. Creed makes a deal with a demon and an angel at the crossroads.
      6. Creed meets Gabby and kills Gaia.
      7. Creed and Gabby meet Order.
      8. Story continues in 2.1 below.
   7. Cole and Zuri (the twins) get Calvin's call.
      1. The twins arrive in Nashville and save Jax.
   8. Order shows up and meets Creed and Gabby.
      1. Story continues in 2.1 below.
2. The CALvalry has Arrived
   1. Calvin and Jax catch up; Calvin insists that Jax make peace with the Regent; Tally tells them to find Dio at his club.
   2. Creed and Gabby arrive at the club.
   3. Order arrives at the club and tells Creed and Gabby to leave; instead they join Order (for now).
   4. Calvin finds Ace who takes him and Jax down to hell to see Dio.
   5. Dio is drinking shots off a mostly-naked woman.
   6. Order and Gabby see Dio in his private room; Creed gets stuck outside.
   7. Creed gets a call from Tally, tells her Fritz stole a car (which Tally tells Ishtar), then puts his phone to sleep locking her in.
      1. This branches into 3.1 and 4.1 below.
   8. Dionysus (Dio) incites a minor riot against Order and Gabby.
3. The Changing Face of War Turns Towards the Firebugs
   1. Ishtar is awoken, receives news that Tally has gone quiet, Jax is off the grid, and Fritz's powers aren't working; she flies to Nashville.
   2. Ishtar flies past "the firebugs" (Fritz, Vera, Lexi, Brennan) in a fighter jet, then commandeers a couple of helicopters and comes back for blood.
4. Dreams of the Sleepless
   1. Tally finds herself dreaming and alone for the first time in decades.

I was hoping @Freelaw would be able to provide a better summary. I've also thought about breaking down the threads by character, since each character's path through the story should actually be linear.
